Maybank / AmBank – Why the backwards thinking?

Early this week, The Star highlighted that the above, two major banks in Malaysia issued an internal directive “that legal firms dealing with them must have a Bumiputra partner with at least a 50% stake”. Being a Chinese Malaysian (not lawyer though), deprived of competitive public education, I almost puked when reading the statement! What’s next?
How about giving out free money to Bumiputras? Let the richer gets richer and stomp on poor, struggling Malaysians (and even Bumiputras?).

Bravo to Pak Lah, the PM for government intervention, and finally, the banks reversed their directive! How low can these banks get! Bumiputras have been privileged education, business relationship, equity, investments and even discounts of up to 10% when it comes to buying houses! Might as well, say that only Bumiputras can becomes bosses and rest are to slave for the rest of their blinking life?

I would like to think that I am a 100% ‘Malaysian’ but until all Bumiputra privileges are removed to its final bits, ‘Malaysia’ will only be a home in the mouth, not heart! Yes, I am jealous, Malaysia is my mother but I have been treated like an unwanted child, just because I am a bit fairer / darker …

There are still some low lives out there, who greed to the bones :-

## Yesterday, Perak Malay Chamber of Commerce youth chairman Saiful Adli Mohd Arshad said the chamber fully supported Maybank’s requirement because it would help increase bumiputra equity, especially among professionals. ##

I am from Perak, and yes, I am truly disappointment the statement from the so-called youth chairman ….so, do you need a red carpet for these Bumiputra professionals? How about insurances and protection from ‘globalisation’ and ‘challenges’ ? If you can’t compete then step down! Make Malaysia, Malaysian competitive! Enough of spoon feeding, aren’t you tired?

## Catrade Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Datuk IIyas Mohamed said the Cabinet directive appeared to be inconsistent with its own policy of assisting Malays in getting their share in the distribution of the nation’s wealth. ##

Malays??? Now he did not mention ‘Bumiputras’, now you know how racist they can get? Malays? Share of nation’s wealth? How about Malaysian as a whole? Our forefathers worked towards Malaysia, as it is today!

Politics, now go kiss my ass …. Greedy people, go to sleep tonight!
