On Monday - 27/9 , I woke up at 6.00 am and drove myself to the hospital.
I finally accumulated enough guts to get this strange, mole-like (but not), slightly raised bump dark brown in appearance removed. I've had it for more than 2 years, started like a little mosquito bite but with hard sort of bump - like there's something underneath the skin.
Anyway, after much persuasion from Lucky - who called me a "chicken".
I decided to have it removed via a procedure known as "skin biopsy".
Seriously, I had no idea what to expect when I arrived at Hospital Selayang Day Care Centre.
I am truly a "chicken" at heart! Lucky's right.
I almost U-Turn home when driving.
Procedure was at 9 something. It is known as an "excisional skin biopsy" - where the whole area of "bump" was removed. YES, it needed stitches to close-up. I've never had stitches before.
More about skin biopsy
First, local anesthesia injection was applied on the skin, then after I'm all numb - the cutting, digging begun.
It took more than 20 minutes (I think) and they showed me the prized "bump", looked like it had a 'root' to it.
It is the size of half a pea, small pea - TESCO's pea - hahahah...
Now, I am left with THIS.
3-4 inches under my BUSTLINE !!!!!!!!!
I guess my dreams to model for Victoria Secrets has just gone "pooooofff".
I hate stitches.

I’m pleased that you’ve got this behind you. I wish you good luck and a speedy recovery.
All the best, Boonie
You are so brave!
For a minute, I thought it was on your face.
As our country is hot with lots of strong sun, my face and hands have lots of freckles and lentigines. Have to watch it.
This morning I went to the hospital, too, to get my medicine and make appointment for my bone density test. Appointment is next year in February. Sigh!
We're pleased you went and got it done Bin - just be careful you don't catch the stitches.
Good for you! I'm glad you went to see the wizard and got your courage!!!
Yikes! But good for you for having it removed, Bin. I hope it heals quickly!
Oh Bin!! Me and Charlie hope you are ok? Please rest and heal - the stitches look pretty scary!! We hope you are not in pain and if you are we hope you have drugs to numb the pain!
Hugs to Lucky! Take care

Hi Bin,
Good for you!! It is scary to have those things removed!! I have had some removed from my back a few years ago.
It is not fair that Bambi can eat no wheat or corn for months and in just one day those things balloon back up with just one small bowl of cat food (wheat and corn). So we start again with months to go to be back where we were!!
Thanks for your visit.
Come again soon.
XXOO, Bambi(dog) Happy (cat) & MOm
Bin
I am so glad that you had this taken off. YOu can never be too careful with things like that. I hope you feel better soon.

PS. if the cocoa butter doesn't work, & you still harbour hopes to be a VS model, try vit E cream.
Doc - u think there's still hope for me???????
I mean with VS ... muahaha - so it is now 20kg and a scar between me and VS contract!!
