Monday Today

Four Mondays ago - I was very happy with my blood test results.
However, Monday today is a different story.
From a high 7.14, my WBC dropped to 3.0 (mild leucopenia)
From a borderline normal 4.23, my RBC is now 3.77 (mild normocytic normochromic anemia - whatever that is ...) even my red cells look weird (poikilocytosis).
Hemoglobin is now borderline low at 10.9.

The only cool thing, my ESR is only 4!
Means I am fat, there's no inflammation.
Hahaha..

To be honest, I want to scream.
Next round of appointment, the doc may up my prednisolone again.
I will look like Ms. Michelin again.

Then again, who knows - my body will behave and things will be back to normal by the time I see the doctor in mid Dec.

Till then, la la la la la ... don't cha wish your girlfriend was hot like me (see up, Ms. Michelin ), don't cha wish your girlfriend was a freak like me ... don't cha ... - pussycat dolls (don't cha lyrics)

(((Bin))) There's not much I can write, can only send cyber-hugs and healing Light.

I hope your body IS back to normal by the time you see your dr in mid-Dec!

*Gulp*. That's a lot of scary medical terms.....wishing you the very best and that there's no need to up your prednisolone during your next appointment or I'll have to arrange a date with Ms Michelin! :)

You have been so ill this past months - I mean not just with lupus but with shingles and migraines!!! Now your anaemic!!

I know the side effects of prednisolone is not very nice but it seems to help your blood cell levels stabilise. BIG BIG HUGS Bin!!!

Here's hoping that your red blood cell counts will settle to more borderline rather than dip under the norm. Oh Bin!! Take care
