Do you know that "rabbit, rabbit" are magical words?
"The most common modern version states that a person should say "rabbit, rabbit, white rabbit", "rabbit, rabbit, rabbit", "rabbit, rabbit" or simply "white rabbits" upon waking on the first day of each new month, and on doing so will receive good luck for the duration of that month." - taken from Wikipedia (not 'leaks')
(Oh darn! I missed it yesterday - imagine if I were to say "rabbit, rabbit" upon waking on the first day of new year! I'll be super lucky for 2011!)
I am sure by now everyone is aware of the "animal" discrepancy between the Chinese and Vietnamese Calender next lunar year. (starts on 3-Feb-2011)
Chinese says it is Rabbit, Vietnamese says it is Cat.
Well, one Vietnamese professor argued that "rabbit" originates from Europe and was brought into China by Europeans, so, no way a "rabbit" could have participated in Buddha's race. (?)
But I thought Cat originated from Egypt?
This argument could go on till cows come home. (Where are cows from?)
Cat or Rabbit - Lunar New Year 2011 will be super fluffy, cute and adorable!
