Talented, Disillusioned

1. All CFOs know who their most talented employees are. (assuming that Boss-T thinks I am one!)

2. But CFOs do not know which one are ready to walk out the door. (should look at Boss-T face)

3। In a survey by ISR, many are disillusioned, disengaged from their job. (WTF is that? read on...)

4. The talent worker unhappiness meter:-
HKG+CHINA - 31%
MALAYSIA - 47% (mine alone, was an extreme value!)

5. Less than half of the respondents are "FULLY ENGAGED", rest are described as COMPLECENT, DISILLUSIONED, FULLY DISENGAGED.

6. FULLY ENGAGED - proud of their company, believe in its goal, prepared to put in extra efforts.

7। COMPLACENT - willing to stay, but won't put in extra efforts.

8. DISILLUSIONED - willing to exert extra efforts, but won't stay.

9. FULLY DISENGAGED - won't exert extra efforts, will leave soon. (That's me!!)

10. Keeping talent happy is not all about money. Financial rewards matter in recruitment but it becomes a lesser importance in retaining talent.

11. Talented employees want their employer to help them achieve their full potential. (i.e. formal 'talent management' and 'sucession planning system'.)

12. Deery of ISR emphasizes the importance of corporate social responsibiliy as a competitive edge in attracting and retaining talent. Insofar as they burnish a company's brand, initiatives such as social action programs and good corporate governance bolster a talented employee's pride in the organisation.
