Eighth A(H1N1) victim ...

A(H1N1) claimed its eight victim, a school teacher from Selangor who passed away on Sunday.
It was only yesterday that I wrote about the fifth victim. Three more victims confirmed within a day's frame .. scary isn't it?

I can't help but to think that the virus has mutated? I remember reading an entry from a doctor on my blog about being better to catch it NOW, than later, when it could have possibly mutated to a more resilient strain. I guess, NOW is LATER ? ...

Sigh ...... (from someone with screwed-up immune system!)

I'm not worried about it. Far more people get dengue and die from it. Never mind the traffic accidents! Hey, are you cat blogging today? if so, drop by and let me know?

I think a lot of it is overhyped. I work in a hospital, and about a third of our staff have been sick with it, but it was just like another flu they said, and most felt better after a few days rest. About 13 people have died in NZ, but seasonal flu claims lives normally anyway.

Once the press stopped overreporting, people stopped panicking so much.

I just made sure that I am very careful about washing my hands, and putting a mask on if going near coughing patients. I also try to get enough sleep and rest and keep my own immune system healthy. Also to keep a good stock of food and supplies at home, in case I do get sick.

I hope you and your family avoid the flu, but please don't be too concerned.
