Memories Monday : 2005 River Kwai Bridge and Train Ride

Once upon a time ago,
5 years or so ago,
When my lupus was going yo-yo,
I said "yo",
Let's go for a ride!

Warning to all friends, do not attempt the long train ride!
Go for the short one.
After a while, it will all look the same, river, tree, river, tree ...

and river, tree, river, tree more river, tree .. unless, you are really lucky to find a cute looking officer in tight pants at one of the many stops... like we did.
Yes... cute was definitely an understatement.

Other survival technique on board includes, do not let this "hot dog" lady out of sight.

Of course, being foreigners, we were charged at 50% more for hotdogs of the same size.

Tired legs.
Very tired legs.
After 5 sticks of hotdogs,
2 cans of coke.

Looks like a fun train ride, a bit though like a long plane ride and it starts to get very boring after about 5 hours!!!!!

Sad, sad history - yes ..

I know one very special person who was a POW. The memories haunt him till the day he passed on.

I never understood what he had been through until I visited the museum ..

Thanks for your visit. I would not have enjoyed a long train ride, but that's just me!!
Tom is doing great! He has the prettiest scare that I have ever seen!! We are very pleased with his London trip!! I missed him so very much, b/c a few days after he left I fell and was not feeling well most of the time he was gone.

The train ride looked enjoyable but hot dogs not so.
Bin your legs and ankles look very swollen - was that just the sitting on the journey or do they swell all the time?
Purrs and kisses to Lucky from Hannah and Lucy xx xx
