Visit to Bentong Farm Sanctuary (also known as Lotus Life Liberation Farm)

Mid-December 2012, lovely Sunday morning ... okay, not so morning - a little early afternoon....

My friends, this is Bentong Farm Sanctuary is located in Bentong (obviously, duh!), Pahang - Malaysia - also known as Lotus Life Liberation Farm - it is a sanctuary built for "Animal Liberation" - a Buddhist practice of saving animals from impending death, such as an animal meant for human consumption, and by doing prayers to help this animals attain a higher rebirth or even enlightenment. Example? Chickens, Ducks, Goats, Cows ....

Also, it serves as a home to 100++ Doggies and 20++Cats too...

I am here to visit a friend who works and manages this farm with her loving husband.

A picture of my friend, Shahrul and I with many of her friendly (attention-seeking) doggies!

And one of the Cats (obviously intoxicated with Silvervine!)

And my friends .... ahem ... I came for this....

The thorny King of Fruits (durian) also known as stinking goodness!

And this, and this .... all the tropical fruits goodness growing in BFS!

We ate, bought many kilos of yummy goodness.
About 30 kilos all together - distributed to friends when we got home..
Very yummy...
Too yummy...

Remember the saying "Everything in moderation?".....
We over-moderated ... hmmm.... simply, we over-ate!
We had a rough week trying to moderate our bowel movement!

So my friends, remember ... "Everything in moderation"!!!!

My favourite photo of the visit ...

To all my friends :-
Merry Christmas 2012!!!!!
Have a blessed celebration of love, happiness - full of goodness!

we hope you and all the animals have a great Christmas. We don't think it is a good idea to be eaten at Christmas either.
