25, Female, CMY - is a stray kitten I picked up months ago.

Big Girl now.

26, Female, Cutie (Had to think of a name when filling up the form!) is one of the 4 stray kittens that their mommy brought to our porch!

And, 27, BB (another on-the-spot name) Male - neighbourhood stray - a lone ranger, I believe his other siblings didn't make it.

Lastly, some good purrs for Darkie who is unwell at the moment.

Happy Halloween !!

Hello all, my name is Darkie.
I am an alley cat, like Slyvester Senior, but has been here before him.

We have nothing in common, except, our balls have been extracted by aliens!
Seriously!!
I remember being taken a way in a white, tortoise-like transport and examined on a very cold steel table, and, and, and, I can't remember what happened next!

Slyvester Senior recounted exactly the same experience !!

Anyway, we feel lighter and happier now without the urge to spread our oats of love.
All we do now is eat, sleep, eat, walk a little, try to trip mom and well, eat again.

Oh ya, I almost forgot, this is suppose to be a Halloween post, well, look at my decayed fangs, aren't they scary?

LUCKY goes to the VET ..

Lucky : Good Morning Everyone - Today's de Day..

Aaahhh ... my morning stretching exercise.

Darkie : Hey, I heard you are going IN today to get your tail fixed.

Lucky : Yeah, I am worried. I might not have any left.

Darkie : I am not worry about your tail, just that, sometimes, "other" things get removed.

Lucky : Huh? What other things?

Darkie : Some "two" other things.... sigh, I lost mine not too long ago... sigh...

Darkie : Meowmmy should I tell Lucky about the "two" other things?

Meowmmy : Shhhh...shhhh.....

Lucky : Meowmmy you need pedicure!

Lucky : I guess this is it! Time to be a big brave boy! Wish me loads of meow luckss!

AT THE VET - The handsome CAT RECEPTIONIST!

Cat : The doctor will be right with you shortly.

Lucky is now at the clinic, overnight and ready for surgery tomorrow morning!

So, what about Fu-Lions?

Chinese guardian lions, also called Fu (Foo) Lions, lions of Buddha, or sometimes stone lions (石獅, Pinyin: Shíshī) in Chinese art[1], are a common representation of the lion in pre-modern China, which is believed to have powerful mythic protective powers that has traditionally stood in front of Chinese Imperial palaces, temples, emperors' tombs, government offices, and the homes of government officials and the wealthy from the Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD), until the end of the empire in 1911.

Lions of Fo are always created in pairs, with the male playing with a ball and the female with a cub. They occur in many types of Chinese pottery and in Western imitations[2].

Pairs of Chinese guardian lions, also called Chinese stone lions are still common decorative and symbolic elements at the entrances to restaurants, hotels, supermarkets and other structures, with one sitting on each side of the entrance, in China and in other places around the world where the Chinese people have immigrated and settled, especially in local Chinatowns.

P:S: My "Fu-Lions" are alley cats we feed! The above 3 are the more permanent ones, rest are becoming more "permanent"! :)

Meet Darkie ...

Hi all, meet Darkie. He was one of the TomCats who had been spreading his "oats of love" around the neighbourhood. Well, he can spread no more, he was "neutered" about a month ago, with Meow Chye (now missing, I think the opposite house moved away with her!).

Today, while feeding the cats, I noticed pus oozing out from Darkie's left arm! OMG!

I said to myself, PANIC not, I now have a little white, very old kancil (that over-heats) for this sort of emergency! I drove, slowly (like a tortoise in white armour) to the vet, managed to park within the parking space (though a little to the left) and all went well!

The vet cleaned Darkie's wound and bandaged him, Darkie wasn't very happy but he is a brave boy! Darkie reminds me of "SALEM" in Sabrina Teenage Witch series, he looks like him, grumpy ... :)

Darkie used to be a feral cat, wouldn't let anyone near him but after weeks of "kibbles-seduction", he came to us. We managed to confine him for neutering, caged him for a 5 days. Upon releasing him, Darkie went missing for 2 days ... returned one day, being very girly and manja!

FYI, Darkie loves the 5-element kittens!
